College and Heritage Fund

Started in 2011 by Anguillians living abroad, the APANY Heritage Scholarship Fund was made possible by donations, which helped jumpstart the program. Since its inception, generous donations, by way of Anguillians and friends of Anguilla alike, have continued to support this initiative. The selection process is aided by a local organization, the Optimist Club of Anguilla, reputed and revered for its outstanding work with Anguillian youth. On March 17, 2012, a Memorandum of Understanding, which outlined the objective of the project, and roles to be played by each entity, was signed by the respective Presidents of each organization at the time (Carlson Conner-Lloyd and Shellecia Brooks-Johnson). The fund provides $1250 annually, for up to four years, to each grant recipient, provided they maintain a specified grade point average. Prospective students may apply each year. In the past, two applicants per year have enjoyed the benefits of this grant. In years to come, the program expects to award upward of eight students per-annum. Become a member now, and bestow the gift of education to help illumine bright young minds.
