Disaster Relief

We take our convictions and turn them into action.

Formed in 1996 in response to the destructive Hurricane Luis, our organization remains committed to providing help for the educational, social, economic and cultural needs of Anguillians at home and abroad, and to friends of Anguilla. Post hurricane conditions prompted our organization to support various projects in Anguilla and help build back the Island “better and stronger”. Since that time, APANY has assisted other disaster relief causes through our donor contributions and fundraising efforts.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, 2019, the Bahamas suffered severe damage to its infrastructure, leaving many dead and wounded. APANY quickly responded, and thanks to our many volunteers and donors, we provided substantial relief for families in the Bahamas.

In April 2021, La Soufriere Volcano erupted and covered the islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in ash and toxic fumes. Fulfilling its mission to help, APANY stepped forward to provide 1000 bags of essential children’s items (Amazon Registry).

Join us in giving back to those in need – our friends and neighbors in the Caribbean.
